MEGA Alternative
A MEGA alternative built for delivering work to clients.
MEGA is end-to-end encrypted cloud storage. Send Atlas is a transfer tool: no monthly transfer quota to plan around, links that expire, delivery receipts and your brand on the download page.
Encrypted storage vs a transfer tool
MEGA gives every registered user 20 GB of free storage with user-controlled, end-to-end encryption, which means MEGA itself can’t read your files. Paid plans pair storage with a monthly transfer quota: Pro Lite is €4.99/month for 400 GB of storage and 1 TB of transfer, and Pro I is €9.99/month for 2 TB of each. Send Atlas encrypts files with AES-256 at rest and TLS in transit, but it is not end-to-end encrypted. What it offers instead is a workflow for client delivery: expiring links, download limits, delivery receipts, previews and branded pages, with no monthly transfer quota.

Why use Send Atlas for client delivery
No transfer quota to ration
Send Atlas doesn’t meter how much your recipients download each month. A file downloaded ten times costs the same as once.
Proof it arrived Pro
Get an email the moment your client downloads, so “I never got the file” stops being your problem.
Previews before download Pro
Pick stills for clients to preview in the browser before they pull the whole package down.
Your brand on the download page Pro
Add your logo, colors, and background so clients see your studio, not ours.
Controls on the free plan
Passwords, link expiry, download limits, and notes come with a free account, not just the paid tier.
Folders and DCPs arrive intact
Drop a whole folder, including DCPs and image sequences, and it travels as one transfer with its structure preserved. Recipients can download everything or just the files they need.
When MEGA is still the right call
If zero-knowledge encryption is your top requirement, choose MEGA: it’s end-to-end encrypted, and Send Atlas isn’t. MEGA also gives you more free storage and cheaper paid storage. MEGA also runs a separate transfer service, Transfer.it. Send Atlas makes sense when your priority is a smooth delivery to clients: big transfers without a monthly quota, links that expire, an email receipt when files are downloaded, and a branded page your client recognizes.
MEGA alternative FAQ
Is Send Atlas end-to-end encrypted like MEGA?
No. Send Atlas encrypts files with AES-256 at rest and uses TLS in transit, but it isn’t end-to-end or zero-knowledge encrypted. MEGA is. If that is a hard requirement, MEGA is the better choice.
Does MEGA limit downloads?
On free accounts, downloads by recipients without a MEGA account count against a monthly transfer quota. Pro Lite and Pro I include monthly quotas of 1 TB and 2 TB; Pro Flexi and Business have none. Send Atlas has no transfer quota and no per-download fees.
How much free storage does MEGA give you?
MEGA offers 20 GB of free storage to registered users. Send Atlas isn’t a storage service; its free account sends up to 15 GB per transfer, and Pro includes 1 TB of Active Storage.
Do my recipients need an account?
No. Send Atlas recipients open a link and download without signing up.
